I've said it before and I'll say it again. I've met the coolest people at work. Last Wednesday night, on the eve of Thanksgiving if you will, while counting the minutes before I had to go home, pack, take a quick snooz and set out for an early morning five hour drive to Cali, this couple and their friend come in for tapas in the last hour. Right away, I felt a distinct and dynamic energy coming from them, particularly from the woman. Being a son of my mother, I couldn't help but pry when I heard her speaking a Spanish, the likes of which you hear on those foreign films you watch late at night to feel good about yourself. Before they even ordered their sangria, I'd found out that her name was Romina, and that her, her husband Max and their cute little baby Joaquin, were driving from New York to Buenos Aires (two cities that I devoutly daydream about). Phoenix is somewhere close to the middle, right? They told me they were having a little trouble keeping up with their blog, I wonder if they have room for a blogger next to that baby seat in the back.
